Hey everyone! This is Sanooer Autoparts, a unique brand specializing in premium pickup truck tow mirrors, tail lights, and running boards for Dodge, Chevy/GMC, FORD and Toyota
We’ve seen many truck owners ask, “Is installing tow mirrors complicated?”
I have to say, it’s not at all!
Here’s a step-by-step tow mirror installation guide for beginners (fit for 2009-2018 DodgeRam 1500/2500/3500), perfect for anyone looking to update pickup look and improve driving safety.
Step 1: Lift Door Panel Off
First, roll down the windows on both the driver's side and passenger side. (That's right, this step may seem basic, but many people forget this step during the installation process.)
Next, disconnect your vehicle battery, safety first!
Then, use a trim tool to remove the inner triangle cover and unscrew the bolts.

Remove the handle bezel.

Remove the window switch panel and disconnect it. Grab the handle abd pull out while pulling up on the lower panel.

Step 2: Remove Your Stock Old Side Mirror
Disconnect the mirror connector from the door module.
Remove the 3*10mm bolts holding the mirror in place and take off the old mirror

Gently detach the stock side mirror, and make sure to unplug the wire connector carefully.
Step 3: Install the New Sanooer Tow Mirrors
(Note: If your stock mirrors are not equipped with turn signals as well as puddle lamps, the functions on our trailer mirrors may not work, and you’ll need to go to your dealer and use your vehicle’s computer to turn on these features.)
Align your Sanooer tow mirror with the mounting holes,
hand-tighten the screws first to keep it steady,
then use a wrench to secure everything in place.
Double-check your mirror angle for perfect visibility.

Make sure each wire is tightly connected and wrapped with electrical tape to prevent vibration or disconnection.
Step 4: Resemble All the Door Panel Parts In the Reserve Order
Step 5: Test All the Functions
