Replace the Upper and Small Mirror Glass of Tow Mirrors for GMC/Silverado Guide for Beginners

Continuing from the previous article, now that you've learned how to replace the back shell/cover of Sanooer tow mirrors, this guide will walk you through replacing the upper and small mirror glass on tow mirrors. This is a common issue in after-sales service, so we're here to explain the process! 

🚩Please note: Safety is paramount during this process. Be sure to wear protective gloves before starting the work. 

Step 1: Press the bottom of the upper glass to lift the top and push up to remove it.

Step 2: Make sure to unplug the wires behind the glass.

Step 3: Replace the new upper glass and insert the patch that secures the mirrors.

Step 4: (If your original mirrors are equipped with turn signals and temp sensor, plz refer to this section. Otherwise, you can skip to Step 5)

Then plug in the wires of the heated function and turn signal lights.

Make sure all wires get fully tucked down beside the motor.

Step 5: Press down the upper glass and make sure everything is fully locked in. Be sure to wear gloves!

Step 6: Press the bottom of the lower glass and push up to remove it.

Step 7: Align the new glass with the original rearview mirror clips. And then press the middle of the lower glass and force it to install in the mirror. 

(Note: Be sure to apply the suitable amount of pressure to avoid injury and prevent the mirror from cracking.)

Step 8: Done!
