How to replace backlights of Ford Tow Mirrors 1999-2016 F250-F550 Super Duty

This guide will show you how to replace the backlight on Ford F250–F550 models from 1999 to 2016.

Note: Please wear protective gloves when removing the mirror, safety first!

Step 1: Press and remove the bottom of the lower glass.

Step 2: Lightly press one side of the upper mirror glass, slide a flathead screwdriver under the bottom edge of the mirror. 

And then press the switch shown in the circled area of the image.

Step 3: Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the old backlight.

Step 4: Connect the wiring harness on the back of the LED light to the plug in the towing mirror.

Step 5: Place the LED light in the towing mirror.
