How to Replace the Backlights on 2019–2022 Dodge Ram Towing Mirrors

Today, we’re showing you how to replace the backlight on tow mirrors designed for 2019–2022 Dodge Ram models.

🚩Tips: 

    · Please wear protective gloves when replacing the mirror, safety first!

    · This process involves quite a few screws, so we recommend preparing a small container to hold the removed screws to avoid losing them.

Step 1: Use a screwdriver as a lever to carefully pry open the edges of the upper mirror and main mirror glass. (Please wear the gloves, be careful and stay safe.)

Step 2: Unplug the connection.

Step 3: Remove the screws

And unplug the back of the connection.

Step 4: Continue by removing the screws that secure the cover.

After removing the screws along the edge of the mirror here, take off the small component.

Step 5: Remove the screws and unplug the back of the connection.

Step 6: Remove the three screws securing the backlight. 

Replace it with the new backlight, then tighten the screws again.

Step 7: Place all the parts back on the mirror one by one and test its functions.
